The technical problems that urban sanitation workers need to clean handrails regularly, however, a traditional cleaning mode is manual cleaning, and under the precondition that the length of the handrails is large, the mode needs to consume too heavy labor force are solved. According to the technical scheme, the municipal guardrail cleaning device comprises a trolley, a storage battery, a lifting mechanism and the like; the middle of the upper surface of the workbench of the trolley is connected with the storage battery; and a lifting mechanism is connected to the front portion of the upper surface of the workbench of the trolley. According to the cleaning device, the transverse rods and the vertical rods which are arranged in a transversely and vertically staggered mode of the guardrail can be cleaned, and the transversely and vertically staggered positions of the guardrail can be cleaned through swing cleaning; by arranging a horizontal cleaning mechanism, the guardrail cross rod can be cleaned without dead corners; by arranging a vertical cleaning mechanism, the guardrail vertical rods can be cleaned without dead corners.
