The invention discloses a preparation method of a quartz ceramic hollow roller for a heating furnace. The preparation method comprises the following steps: step 1, preparing niobium nitride coated scandium boride microspheres; step 2, preparing quartz ceramic mixed slurry: respectively weighing 75-85 parts by weight of high-purity quartz sand, 6-12 parts by weight of niobium nitride coated scandium boride microspheres, 2-5 parts by weight of a binder, 1-2 parts by weight of absolute ethyl alcohol and 2-4 parts by weight of deionized water, mixing, and carrying out ball milling treatment to obtain the quartz ceramic mixed slurry; and step 3, preparing the quartz ceramic hollow roller rod: injecting the quartz ceramic mixed slurry into a forming mold, preparing a green body through a vibration slip casting method, drying the green body, and sintering to obtain the quartz ceramic hollow roller rod. The quartz ceramic is optimized and improved by adding the self-made niobium nitride coated scandium boride microspheres, so that the obtained quartz ceramic hollow roller has better high temperature resistance and more compact and uniform structure.
