The invention provides a sponge community LID facility for treating initial rainwater, and belongs to the field of sewage treatment. Comprising a conventional treatment unit, a detection probe, a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), a sulfur powder adding device, an advanced treatment unit and an alkali liquor barrel, wherein fungus bags are uniformly arranged in the advanced treatment unit; a first water outlet pipe of a first water outlet area above the conventional treatment unit is communicated with a second water inlet pipe of a second water inlet area below the advanced treatment unit, a powdered sulfur liquid bucket is communicated with the first water outlet pipe through a powdered sulfur liquid pump, and an alkali liquor bucket is communicated with the second water inlet pipe through an alkali liquor pump; the NO3 <-> detection probe and the pH probe are electrically connected with the PLC respectively. The sewage treatment method comprises the following steps: reducing NO3 <-> into NO2 <-> by controlling sulfur autotrophic denitrification, and oxidizing NH4 < + > into N2 by taking NO2 <-> as an electron acceptor under the action of anaerobic ammonium oxidation bacteria. The method has the beneficial effect that the total nitrogen in the effluent finally reaches the IV-class standard of surface water.
