The invention belongs to the technical field of solar energy, and particularly relates to an awning type solar energy utilization system, which comprises a solar power generation assembly, a storage battery, an inverter and a power distribution control box, and is characterized in that the solar power generation assembly is mounted on a balcony of a house, above a window of the house and/or below the window of the house; the solar power generation assembly is arranged towards the outer side of the house in a multi-direction multi-face protruding mode or in a one-direction single-face protruding mode so as to form an awning. The solar power generation assemblies are electrically connected with the inverter, the storage battery is electrically connected with the inverter, the inverter is electrically connected with the power distribution control box, and the power distribution control box is used for being electrically connected with alternating current electric equipment of residents or a municipal power grid to supply power. During use, the area of the solar panel of a single solar power generation assembly can be reduced to several square meters, so that the solar energy can be dispersed and used in a miniaturized manner; when the generating capacity of the solar power generation assembly is insufficient, the alternating current on the municipal power grid can be switched to be used through the power distribution control box.
