The invention discloses a sweeping mechanism of a small sweeper, which relates to the technical field of environmental sanitation equipment manufacturing and comprises a rear sweeping support connected with a sweeping mechanism mounting seat in front of the sweeper and a pair of rear sweeping brushes mounted at the bottoms of two ends of the rear sweeping support, and front sweeping arms extending forwards are arranged on two sides of the rear sweeping support respectively. The front sweeping brush arms are connected with the front sweeping brushes through the front sweeping brush seats of the front sweeping brush arms, the rear sweeping brushes and the front sweeping brushes are arranged in a splayed shape and are wide in front and narrow in rear, the front sweeping brush arms are in shaft connection with the rear sweeping brush support, the rear sweeping brush support is in shaft connection with the sweeping brush mechanism installation seat, and lifting of the rear sweeping brush support is controlled through a hydraulic cylinder. The sweeping mechanism can cover the transverse width of sweeping operation of the sweeper, and due to the fact that the front sweeping arm is in shaft connection with the rear sweeping support, the sweeping mechanism can adapt to operation grounds with different widths by adjusting opening and closing of the front sweeping arm.
