The device comprises a slideway, counterweight iron, a first pulley, a main arm, a main arm shaft pin, a support, a parabolic tower groove, a second pulley and a transmission rope, the counterweight iron is slidably connected to the excavator body through the slide way, the first pulley is mounted at the upper end of the slide way, the main arm is fixed to the parabola-shaped tower groove and rotatably connected with the excavator body through the main arm shaft pin, one end of the transmission rope is fixed to the counterweight iron, and the transmission rope sequentially winds around the first pulley and the second pulley. The other end of the first pulley is connected with the parabola-shaped tower groove, and the first pulley is connected with the main arm shaft pin through a support. According to the energy-saving excavator disclosed by the invention, an upward dynamic moment is generated by a transmission rope through a slide way, a bracket, a pulley and a parabola-shaped tower groove by utilizing the gravity of counterweight iron of the excavator, and the upward dynamic moment is in an equal proportion relationship with a resistance moment; the effects of saving labor and energy are achieved by offsetting a part of resistance torque once and for all.
