本发明提供了一种AlON粉体的制备方法、AlON粉体及其应用，所述方法包括：将纳米氧化铝粉体和碳粉按质量比称重，加入0‑10wt％的分散剂，并以无水乙醇为介质，采用球磨方法混合，得到混合粉体；利用碳热还原氮化法烧结混合粉体；再将烧结后的粉体进行行星球磨处理，处理结束后，以无水乙醇为介质，添加0‑10wt％分散剂，并采用超声进行分散处理，得到所述AlON粉体；本发明通过分步骤添加分散剂，改进了粉体的整体分散性能，制备出分散性高，且相纯度高，粒度也较小的高烧结活性的AlON粉体，将其应用于AlON透明陶瓷的制备中，能够得到性能较好的AlON透明陶瓷。
