The invention provides an intelligent transmission shaft braking system for vertical circulation type parking equipment and a braking device.The braking device comprises a brake pad and a brake caliper, the brake pad is fixed to a transmission shaft of the parking equipment, and the brake pad is in a disc shape and is coaxial with the transmission shaft; one end of the brake caliper is fixed on a frame of the parking equipment, the other end of the brake caliper is in a U shape defined by two caliper arms, the brake pad extends into an opening formed by the two caliper arms of the brake caliper, and the two caliper arms clamp or loosen the brake pad. According to the intelligent transmission shaft braking system and the braking device thereof, the safety, the vehicle storing and taking speed and the intelligent degree of equipment can be improved, and the service life of the motor and the service life of the speed reducer can be prolonged.
