The motor-driven hydraulic system comprises a hydraulic executing element, a quantitative hydraulic pump, a motor and an operating element, the hydraulic executing element is in driving connection with the quantitative hydraulic pump, the quantitative hydraulic pump is in driving connection with the motor, and the operating element is used for controlling the hydraulic executing element to act; the control method comprises the steps that the output flow currently needed by the quantitative hydraulic pump is determined according to the current operation condition of the operation element; determining a target rotating speed of the motor according to the output flow; and controlling the motor to operate according to the target speed. By means of the technical scheme, the output flow of the quantitative hydraulic pump can be accurately controlled according to the operation intention of an operator, the advantage that the rotating speed of the motor is fast in response is fully utilized, the operation intention of the operator is more rapidly and accurately achieved, meanwhile, the quantitative hydraulic pump is adopted to replace a variable hydraulic pump, and cost is reduced.
