The invention relates to the technical field of water conservancy projects, in particular to a water diversion structure for water conservancy and hydropower engineering. Comprising a diversion canal and further comprises a cleaning unit arranged in the diversion canal, and the cleaning unit is used for cleaning floating garbage and settled sludge in the diversion canal; and the power generation unit is located on one side of the cleaning unit, and the power generation unit provides power for the cleaning assembly. The cleaning unit and the power generation unit are arranged on the diversion canal, water in the diversion canal drives the power generation unit to move to generate power, and the power generation unit provides power for the cleaning assembly while generating power, so that the power generation unit drives the cleaning unit to reciprocate in the diversion canal; therefore, the effect of cleaning the garbage and the sludge in the diversion canal is achieved, and the phenomenon that the diversion canal is blocked due to the garbage and the settled sludge is avoided.
