By designing the sliding cavity, the sliding claw, the buffer cavity, the hydraulic cavity, a rubber block, an ejector rod and a piston plate, wood located on the upper side of the log grapple acts on the rubber block, and the ejector rod drives the piston plate to move through movement of the rubber block, so that hydraulic oil in the hydraulic cavity gradually enters the buffer cavity and the sliding cavity, and the sliding claw extends out of the sliding cavity; according to the log grapple, the sliding claws are prevented from making direct contact with the side face of lower-layer wood to cause wood damage when the log grapple grabs the wood, through the design of the buffer cavities and the through holes, the damping effect is generated on backflow of hydraulic oil, stable clamping of the wood after the sliding claws slide out can be promoted, and meanwhile due to the fact that the sliding claws do not slide out when the wood is clamped, the wood can be clamped stably. And the opening of the log grabber for clamping the wood is in the maximum state, so that more or thicker wood can be conveniently clamped.
