The invention belongs to the technical field of side ditch construction, and particularly relates to a self-walking type side ditch construction formwork system which comprises driving mechanisms, a portal frame, an outer side formwork mechanism and an inner side formwork mechanism, the portal frame is installed between the two driving mechanisms, and the outer side formwork mechanism comprises an oil cylinder guide sliding shoe, a first lifting oil cylinder and an outer side formwork assembly; the portal frame is transversely connected with two oil cylinder guide sliding shoes in a sliding mode, the first lifting oil cylinder is vertically installed on the oil cylinder guide sliding shoes through lifting oil cylinder flanges, the lower end of the first lifting oil cylinder vertically penetrates through the oil cylinder guide sliding shoes and is hinged to the outer side formwork assembly, and the inner side formwork mechanism comprises a second lifting oil cylinder and an inner side formwork assembly; the second lifting oil cylinder is vertically installed on the cross beam through a lifting oil cylinder flange, and the lower end of the second lifting oil cylinder vertically penetrates through the cross beam and is hinged to the inner side formwork assembly. The method has the technical characteristics of mechanical operation, no need of manual disassembly of the template, effective shortening of the construction period and high working efficiency.
