The construction method comprises the following steps that a floor type steel pipe external scaffold is erected; when a first overhanging layer of a building structure is constructed, a plurality of overhanging I-shaped steel connecting pieces are pre-buried in beams or walls on the periphery of the building structure; the multiple cantilever I-shaped steel assemblies are fixed to a beam or a wall on the periphery of the building structure; an overhanging steel pipe external scaffold is erected on the overhanging I-shaped steel assembly, and the floor type steel pipe external scaffold is connected with the overhanging steel pipe external scaffold; a turn buckle assembly connecting piece is pre-embedded in a beam or a wall on the periphery of the building structure; the upper end of the turn buckle assembly is fixed to a construction building structural beam or wall, and the lower end of the turn buckle assembly is connected with the cantilever I-shaped steel assembly; the upper end and the lower end of the turn buckle assembly are connected through a turn buckle, and the turn buckle is tightened; and along with the construction progress of the building structure, the floor type steel pipe external scaffolds and the overhanging steel pipe external scaffolds continue to be erected, the outer scaffold erecting speed can be increased, and construction is convenient.
