The method comprises the following steps: acquiring radar point cloud data and video images of a surrounding environment; the radar point cloud data comprises a first type of point cloud data; the first type of point cloud data is the point cloud data collected by the laser radar with the resolution greater than a set value; the video image comprises a first type of image; the first type of images are images acquired by adopting an infrared night vision camera; performing target detection on the radar point cloud data to obtain first detection information; performing target detection on the video image to obtain second detection information; fusing the first detection information and the second detection information to obtain multi-source fusion information; the multi-source fusion information comprises the position, the speed, the contour and the category of the target in the surrounding environment. The accuracy of road surface recognition can be improved.
