The invention discloses a construction method of an overwater construction platform. The construction method comprises the following steps that a platform body, a plurality of supporting columns and a supporting structure are provided, and a plurality of mounting holes are formed in the circumferential direction of the platform body at intervals; the platform body is conveyed to a mounting area on the water surface based on a conveying device; the multiple supporting columns penetrate through the multiple mounting holes in a one-to-one correspondence mode and are inserted into underwater soil, so that the platform body is preliminarily positioned; the water surface height is obtained, and when the water surface height meets a preset height threshold value, the platform body is lifted based on the lifting device; a supporting structure is connected to a set position of the supporting column at the lower part of the platform main body; based on the lifting device, the platform body is put down until the lower end of the platform body abuts against the supporting structure, and the platform body is supported on the supporting structure; moving the transportation device away from the mounting area; and the supporting columns are fixed to the corresponding mounting holes, mounting of the water construction platform is completed, the structure is simple, and the technology is simple.
