The invention relates to an urban road rainwater drainage system which comprises a plurality of catch basins arranged on one side of a road at intervals, a plurality of drainage ditches are arranged between every two adjacent catch basins in parallel, and the two ends of a combination formed by connecting the drainage ditches are communicated with the two adjacent catch basins respectively. The drainage ditch comprises a drainage ditch body and a drainage ditch cover plate, a first drainage groove is formed in one side of the drainage ditch and comprises a first drainage groove body and a first drainage groove cover plate, and a plurality of first water inlet holes and a plurality of first water outlet holes are formed in the side wall of the first drainage groove; the first water inlet hole is located in the upper portion of the side wall of the first drainage groove and is higher than the drainage ditch. According to the urban road rainwater drainage system, the construction efficiency can be improved, replacement and repair after damage can be facilitated, the road surface water accumulation risk can be reduced, meanwhile, the retention effect on silt and other impurities can be achieved, the water purification effect is achieved, and the rainwater pipe blocking risk is reduced.
