The single-column pier transverse bridge direction anti-overturning reinforcing and limiting device comprises a cover beam, a plurality of support mechanisms and a plurality of damping limiting stopper modules, the cover beam is arranged at the upper end of a single-column pier, the support mechanisms are evenly distributed at the upper end of the cover beam and located at the bottom of a transverse bridge, and the damping limiting stopper modules are arranged at the two ends of the cover beam respectively. According to the single-column pier transverse-bridge-direction anti-overturning reinforcing and limiting device, the bent cap is additionally arranged at the upper end of the single-column pier, the number of supporting points in the transverse bridge direction is increased, and therefore the purpose of improving the overall anti-overturning stability of a single-column pier bridge is achieved. Under the excitation action of a strong earthquake, relative displacement is generated among the transverse bridge, the single-column pier and the steel box; when the displacement is small, the damping stopper module provides relatively low stiffness and strength. Under strong earthquake excitation, the displacement response is increased, the damping limiter module provides higher strength, and meanwhile, the damping limiter module provides higher rigidity. The rigidity provided by the damping limiter module can limit the relative displacement between the transverse bridge and the single-column pier.
