The invention relates to a work machine, a vertical lift boom assembly and a radial lift boom assembly. A work machine includes a main frame, a cab, and a boom assembly. The main frame extends in a front-rear direction. A cab may be coupled to the main frame. A boom assembly is movably coupled to the main frame at a boom assembly pivot wherein the boom assembly is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The boom assembly is pivoted rearward of the cab and has a common position for both the vertical lift boom assembly and the radial lift boom assembly. In another embodiment, the boom assembly pivot adapts to a vertical lift boom assembly and a radial lift boom assembly in an interchangeable manner.
