The invention belongs to the technical field of dredgers, and discloses an energy dissipation overflow device which comprises a fixed barrel, a lifting barrel, a guide assembly and a hydraulic oil cylinder, and the fixed barrel is arranged at the bottom of a mud tank and used for communicating the mud tank with the sea; the lifting cylinder body comprises an outer cylinder body arranged in the fixed cylinder body in a penetrating manner, an inner cylinder body arranged in the outer cylinder body in a penetrating manner and a spiral plate arranged between the outer cylinder body and the inner cylinder body, and a spiral channel is defined by the outer cylinder body, the inner cylinder body and the spiral plate; the guide assembly comprises a plurality of guide shafts arranged around the lifting cylinder, and the guide shafts are in sliding connection with the outer cylinder; the hydraulic oil cylinder is arranged in the inner barrel and can drive the lifting barrel to move in the extending direction of the guide shaft. According to the energy dissipation overflow device, in the overflow process, bubbles can be reduced, and the hydraulic oil cylinder can be effectively prevented from making contact with seawater.
