Unique feedstock for spherical powder and method of manufacture
Embodiments of methods, apparatuses, and assemblies for processing feedstock materials using microwave plasma processing are disclosed herein. Specifically, the feedstock materials disclosed herein belong to unique powder feedstocks, such as tantalum, yttrium-stabilized zirconia, aluminum, water-atomized alloys, rhenium, tungsten, and molybdenum. Microwave plasma processing can be used to spheroidize and remove contaminants. Advantageously, the microwave plasma processed feedstock can be used in various applications where high powder flowability is required, such as additive manufacturing or powder metallurgy (PM) applications.
本文公开了使用微波等离子体加工来加工原料材料的方法、装置和组件的实施方案。具体地,本文公开的原料材料属于独特的粉末原料,比如钽、钇稳定的氧化锆、铝、水雾化合金、铼、钨和钼。微波等离子体加工可以用于球化和去除污染物。有利地,微波等离子体加工的原料可以用于需要高粉末流动性的各种应用中,比如增材制造或粉末冶金(PM)应用。
