The invention discloses an assembly type building external wall panel joint waterproof strip which comprises a long-strip-shaped blocky main body and protrusions, the cross section of the main body is T-shaped, the main body is composed of a wing part and a clamping part, the protrusions are arranged on the two side faces of the clamping part and extend in the length direction of the clamping part, and the protrusions are made of elastic materials. The waterproof strip is installed at the joint of the external wall panel, so that the wing part is adhered to the external wall panel, meanwhile, the clamping part enters the joint, and the synapses are extruded by the inner wall of the joint to generate elastic deformation to be in tight contact with the joint so as to be firmly clamped and realize sealing and waterproofing.
