A thermal response type intelligent color changing window based on nanofluid comprises a piston, a window frame and high-light-transmittance glass. The two pieces of high-light-transmittance glass are installed in the window frame in a sealed mode and arranged in a spaced mode, a hollow cavity is formed by the window frame and the two pieces of high-light-transmittance glass, and heat insulation nanofluid with high absorptivity to near infrared rays and ultraviolet rays and high permeability to visible light is contained in the hollow cavity. An ammonia water solution cavity and a nano-fluid cavity are machined in any vertical frame of the window frame from top to bottom, the ammonia water solution cavity is communicated with the nano-fluid cavity, a piston which is sealed with the cavity and can slide is arranged between the ammonia water solution cavity and the nano-fluid cavity, and the nano-fluid cavity is communicated with the hollow cavity. According to the invention, the indoor cold load can be reduced in summer, the full spectrum transmittance of the window can be kept in winter, and efficient utilization of indoor solar heat can be realized.
