The invention discloses a sound insulation ceramic tile for buildings and a manufacturing method thereof, the sound insulation ceramic tile comprises a ceramic tile body and a sound insulation layer arranged on the back of the ceramic tile body, and the sound insulation layer is composed of a non-foaming body or a foaming body formed by PU (polyurethane) materials with special components; a manufacturing method of the sound insulation ceramic tile comprises the following steps: firstly, manufacturing a plurality of sound insulation layers conforming to the size of the ceramic tile body, and correspondingly adhering each sound insulation layer to the back surface of each ceramic tile body through an adhesion layer to form a whole; another manufacturing method of the sound insulation ceramic tile comprises the following steps of: respectively and correspondingly coating a sticky special component PU (polyurethane) material on the back surfaces of the plurality of ceramic tile bodies to form the sound insulation layers with uniform thickness, combining the sound insulation layers into a whole, and curing the sound insulation layers to manufacture a plurality of sound insulation ceramic tiles in mass production.
