The invention discloses a perimeter security and protection monitoring system which comprises a plurality of cameras arranged along a security and protection perimeter and an alarm device communicating with the cameras, and the alarm device triggers alarm according to signals transmitted by the cameras. Every two adjacent cameras are opposite to each other so as to obtain clear pictures with uniform light rays; the height of each camera is set according to the perimeter range to be overlooked. After the system is adopted, the camera can obtain required monitoring images and clear video images, the monitoring purpose can be accurately and effectively achieved through the video images, and the false alarm rate is reduced; a three-dimensional safety protection system capable of rapidly reflecting is constructed through a large amount of instant effective information, and coordination and unification of physical defense, civil defense and technical defense are achieved.
