The invention discloses a sweeping device and a sanitation vehicle. The sweeping device comprises a connecting support, a sweeping body, a first driving mechanism and a first sensor. The connecting support is used for being fixedly connected with a vehicle body of the sanitation vehicle. The sweeping main body is used for sweeping a road surface, and the sweeping main body is movably connected with the connecting bracket; the first driving mechanism is arranged on the connecting bracket, the first driving mechanism is connected with the sweeping main body, and the first driving mechanism is used for driving the sweeping main body to move on a plane parallel to the road surface; the first sensor is arranged on the sweeping body and used for detecting the distance between the edge of the side end of the sweeping body and an obstacle, and when the detection distance of the first sensor is smaller than or equal to a safety preset distance, the first sensor is used for detecting the distance between the side end of the sweeping body and the obstacle. And the first driving mechanism drives the sweeping main body to move along the side deviating from the obstacle, so that the sweeping main body avoids the obstacle.
