The invention provides a wind turbine generator foundation structure replacing a small wind turbine generator with a large wind turbine generator and a construction method. The method comprises the following steps that T1, an original small-capacity wind turbine generator is dismantled; t2, covering soil on the upper portion of the original foundation is excavated out, and excavation needs to be continued according to the design requirement till the foundation base elevation of a new wind turbine generator set is reached; t3, scabbling the outer surface of the original wind turbine generator foundation until the steel bars are exposed; t4, the chiseling surface is cleaned, vertical steel bars are implanted according to a design file, and anchor plate embedded parts are embedded in proper positions; t5, anchor bolt assemblies are arranged according to the positions of the flange holes of the high-capacity wind turbine generator and connected with the bottom anchor plate; and T6, a formwork is erected, and foundation top plate steel bars, stand steel bars and the like are arranged according to the designed reinforcement area. The foundation structure for replacing the small wind turbine generator with the large wind turbine generator has the advantages of being simple in structure and high in bearing capacity in structure, and has the advantages of saving cost and being environmentally friendly in construction.
