The invention relates to an assembly type building decoration art structure which comprises a positioning installation mechanism provided with a plurality of installation positions, a decoration plate installation frame and a decoration plate, the decoration plate installation frame and the decoration plate are connected to the corresponding installation positions in a clamped mode through clamping mechanisms, and an interlocking mechanism is arranged between the decoration plate installation frame and the decoration plate. The interlocking mechanism comprises an interlocking seat and an interlocking head, a movable block is slidably connected into the interlocking seat, a plurality of rotating seats distributed circumferentially are mounted at one end of the movable block, locking hook claws are rotatably connected to the rotating seats, and locking claw grooves matched with the locking hook claws in a locking mode are formed in the interlocking head. A torsion spring is mounted between the locking hook claw and the inner wall of the rotating seat; the other end of the movable block is rotationally connected with a rotating block, a movable magnet is installed at the radial end of the rotating block, and a reset spring is arranged between the end, away from the movable block, of the rotating block and the interlocking base. An interlocking groove matched with the movable magnet is formed in the inner wall of the interlocking seat in a surrounding mode. The decorative plate is convenient to position, mount and dismount.
