The invention discloses a ceramic tile with a travertine structure and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing a surface material and a bottom material, and respectively carrying out ball milling; storing the slurry obtained by ball milling in a stock bin, and homogenizing and aging; performing spray drying on the slurry to prepare granular powder; organic matter particles are mixed into the surface material powder through the material distributing device, and the granular powder is used for distributing the backing material and the surface material through the material distributing device and is pressed and formed into a ceramic tile blank through the brick pressing machine; putting the formed green body into a kiln for drying; the obtained green body is polished, and then ground glaze spraying, ink-jet printing and cover glaze applying are sequentially conducted on the surface of the green body; and blowing dust from the surface-modified green body, and sintering in a kiln to obtain the ceramic tile with the travertine structure. Natural and irregular holes are distributed in the surface of the ceramic tile, so that the ceramic tile has the romantic charm of natural travertine, the decorative effect is closer to that of the natural travertine, and the ceramic tile has extremely high expressive force and meets the current pursuit of people for home decoration close to nature and art.
