The invention relates to a telescopic advertising rod and an advertising barrier gate adopting the telescopic advertising rod, and belongs to the field of barrier gate equipment. The telescopic advertising rod serves as a barrier gate rod to be installed on a barrier gate box and comprises a main rod unit, an auxiliary rod unit, a telescopic rod motor and a telescopic transmission structure. The main rod unit and the auxiliary rod unit are arranged up and down to form an advertising surface frame, the main rod unit provides support for the main advertising surface, and the auxiliary rod unit provides support for the telescopic advertising surface; the telescopic rod motor is mounted in the main cross beam or the barrier gate box body, and an output shaft of the telescopic rod motor is connected with the telescopic transmission structure to provide power for the telescopic transmission structure; power provided by the telescopic transmission structure enables the auxiliary rod unit to be close to or away from the main rod unit, and therefore the telescopic advertising face is contracted or unfolded below the main advertising face. The advertising barrier gate has the following advantages that the width of the folded advertising rod is reduced, the overall attractiveness of the advertising barrier gate is enhanced, and accidents caused by visual blind angles of passing personnel are effectively reduced.
