The invention discloses an apparent mass variable large-tonnage inerter type self-resetting damper which comprises a connecting end, an apparent mass variable flywheel, a ball nut, a ball screw, a thrust bearing, a multi-layer annular spring, an inner rod, a steel base plate, a fastening nut and an outer sleeve. The variable apparent mass flywheel is composed of a chassis, buffer rubber, a movable sliding block, a guide rod and a spring, the left end of the ball screw is fixedly connected with the connecting end, the right end of the ball screw sequentially penetrates through the variable apparent mass flywheel, the ball nut and the thrust bearing and is fixedly connected with the inner rod, and the inner rod sequentially penetrates through the left side steel base plate, the multiple layers of annular springs, the right side steel base plate and the fastening nut. The variable inertia capacity coefficient is achieved through the variable apparent mass flywheel composed of the chassis, the buffer rubber, the movable sliding blocks, the guide rods and the springs, and large-tonnage damping force is provided through the multiple layers of annular springs with friction energy dissipation and self-resetting capacity. Therefore, the damper has the advantages of variable apparent mass, large tonnage and self-resetting.
