The invention discloses a rail transit vehicle maintenance device which comprises two sets of fixed platforms arranged in parallel, and the two sets of fixed platforms are connected through a temporary platform in an unfolded state. The temporary platform comprises at least two sets of folding parts, the multiple sets of folding parts are rotationally connected, folding butt joint mechanisms are arranged at the tail ends, away from the fixed platforms, of the folding parts, and the folding parts of the two sets of fixed platforms are connected together through the folding butt joint mechanisms. After being unfolded, the temporary platforms are in butt joint to form a rectangular-ambulatory-plane-shaped platform needed by overhauling, after overhauling is completed, the temporary platforms are folded and put away, the function of an original fixed platform is not affected, and overhauling of equipment on the top of the vehicle is completed with the cost as low as possible.
