The invention relates to a transverse prestress reinforcing structure of a circular concrete column. The transverse prestress reinforcing structure comprises the circular concrete column (1) and a shape memory alloy plate (2), the shape memory alloy plate (2) wraps a cracked area or an area with cracking risk on the surface of the circular concrete column (1) after being bent, and the two ends of the shape memory alloy plate (2) are anchored. Compared with the prior art, the shape memory alloy wide plate tensioned in advance completely wraps the area, needing to be reinforced, of the circular concrete column, transverse pressure stress can be generated at the cracking position after the shape memory alloy is activated, the stress amplitude of the cracking position of the structure is reduced, and then generation and expansion of cracks are restrained; no complex construction equipment is needed in the construction process, and the adaptability to the curved surface is excellent.
