A hand held showerhead assembly includes a hand held showerhead and a receiver, the hand held showerhead being releasably secured on the receiver. The hand-held showerhead includes a button on a handle portion thereof for releasing the hand-held showerhead from the receiver. The hand-held showerhead is held in secure engagement with the receiver until the button is pressed to allow the hand-held showerhead to be removed from the receiver. Matching magnetic assemblies attract the handheld showerhead to the receiver.
