An apparatus (41) for generating an electrical current from a temperature difference in a bath fitting (1), the apparatus (41) comprising: a heat transfer plate (43) having a protrusion (63) configured to directly contact water carried in a first region of the fitting (1); and a thermoelectric module (45), the thermoelectric module (45) comprising one or more thermoelectric elements (97a-c) configured to be thermally coupled between the heat transfer plate (43) and a housing (3) of the shower fitting (1) located in a second region of the shower fitting (1), the thermoelectric element (97a-c) is further configured to generate electrical power from a temperature difference between water carried in the first and second regions of the shower fitting (1).
