One ends of the plurality of hanging plates are respectively arranged on a vibration steel wheel bracket of the road roller, and the other ends of the plurality of hanging plates extend to the outer side of a vibration steel wheel of the road roller; the ironing plate is connected to the other ends of the plurality of hanging plates through a supporting and connecting assembly, so that the ironing plate can synchronously move along with the advancing of the road roller, and one surface of the ironing plate can be attached to the edge part of the road surface and grinds the edge part of the road surface; one end of the gradient adjusting assembly is connected with a hydraulic control system of the road roller, and the other end of the gradient adjusting assembly is connected with the plurality of hanging plates, so that the hanging plates can rotate through the gradient adjusting assembly, and the ironing plate can rotate to be attached to the edge of the road surface. According to the method, synchronous rolling construction can be carried out on the pavement edge while rolling construction is carried out on the pavement filling layer, a pavement edge template does not need to be erected, the construction efficiency is improved, and the construction cost is reduced.
