The invention relates to a drive device for the motorized adjustment of an adjusting element (2), in particular of a closing element, of a motor vehicle, the drive device (1) having a drive unit (4) with a drive (5), the drive (5) having a rotating motor unit (6), the motor unit (6) being arranged in the drive unit (4). According to the invention, the drive (5) has a feed gear (8) which is drivingly connected downstream of the motor unit (6) in order to generate a drive movement along a geometric feed gear axis (X) in the direction of a first adjustment, in particular corresponding to the opening of the closure element, and in the direction of a second adjustment, in particular corresponding to the closing of the closure element, the drive (5) has a coupling (16) with a plurality of coupling elements (16a, 16b, 16c), a first coupling element (16a) of which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a drive shaft (7a) of the drive (5) and a second coupling element (16b) of which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to an output shaft (7b) of the drive (5), the coupling elements (16a, 16b, 16c) transmit the rotational movement from the drive shaft (7a) to a driven shaft (7b) in a state in which the coupling elements (16a, 16b, 16c) are drivingly coupled to one another, said driven shaft bringing about a drive movement of the feed gear (8). It is proposed that the coupling (16) be designed as an arcuate tooth coupling (17).
