Tracked vehicle with rotatable superstructure and method thereof
A tracked vehicle includes: a vehicle body including a lower structure and an upper structure rotatable relative to the lower structure about an axis; an angle sensor for detecting rotation of the upper structure relative to the lower structure; the first crawler belt assembly and the second crawler belt assembly are installed on the two opposite sides of the vehicle body respectively; a prime mover; an electronic control unit (ECU); and a transmission for controllably transmitting power from the prime mover to the track assembly based on an output of the ECU. The ECU is configured to respond to the angular sensor having detected a relative angular displacement exceeding a threshold angular displacement by: issuing a signal via the output interface to indicate that a directional switch is requestable; and the transmission performs directional switching on the tracked vehicle in response to detecting the directional switching request.
