The water gate garbage intercepting device for the water conservancy project comprises a bottom plate, frame plates are connected to the two sides of the top of the bottom plate correspondingly, a top plate is connected between the tops of the two frame plates, and a gate plate is slidably connected between the adjacent faces of the two frame plates; a lifting mechanism is arranged between the top of the top plate and the front end faces of the two frame plates, a treatment box is connected to the lifting mechanism, two mincing rollers rotate in different directions by starting a first motor and meshing of two gears, and meanwhile two chains are driven through transmission cooperation between two first transmission rollers and a first transmission belt; and when the two chains roll, the multiple feeding buckets can be driven to convey the garbage such as leaves and branches in front of the intercepting net into the treatment box, and the garbage is crushed by the two grinding rollers rotating in different directions, so that the garbage can be directly crushed and collected, frequent treatment by workers is not needed, and the practicability of the device is improved.
