An excrement recognition device (2) is provided with: a sound data acquisition unit (211) that acquires sound data collected by a microphone (1) disposed in a toilet; and an excrement recognition unit (213) that recognizes which of defecation, urination, and fart has been performed by inputting the acquired sound data into a recognition model in which sound data indicating any one of defecation sound, urination sound, and fart sound is used as an input value, and which recognizes whether or not defecation, urination, and fart have been performed. A recognition model that performs machine learning using any one of defecation, urination, and fart as an output value; and a recognition result output unit (214) that outputs the recognition result.
