A system for controlling a machine may include a first joystick including a first asymmetric grip portion having a first asymmetric panel. The first asymmetric panel may include: a first subset of primary controls including a first plurality of input elements configured to control operation of an appliance mounted to the machine; and a first subset of secondary controls comprising a second plurality of input elements configured to control operation of a display device of the machine. The system may also include a second joystick including a second asymmetric grip portion having a second asymmetric panel. The second asymmetric panel may include: a second subset of primary controls including a third plurality of input elements configured to control operation of the appliance; and a second subset of secondary controls comprising a fourth plurality of input elements configured to control sound.
