The method comprises the following steps of construction preparation; cleaning the original ground; a plurality of square timbers are arranged at the bottom of the expansion joint, a plurality of bamboo plywood is laid on the square timbers, and lower-layer geotechnical cloth is laid on the bamboo plywood and fixed; dense filling is conducted, specifically, the melon-grain stone is laid on the lower-layer geotechnical cloth, tamping is conducted through joint filling construction equipment, the elevation is rechecked, the upper-layer geotechnical cloth is laid on the melon-grain stone, and composite foam plates are arranged on the periphery of the top face of the upper-layer geotechnical cloth; pouring concrete and curing; and intensity detection and traffic opening. The construction method of the temporary expansion joint of the bridge is high in construction operability, high in overall quality image, good in safety and stability, low in carbon, environmentally friendly, sustainable, extremely low in maintenance cost and capable of well meeting actual application requirements.
