METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING A VEHICLE TAILGATE
A method and system for controlling a tailgate of a vehicle are provided. The method comprises the following steps: sensing feet of a user by utilizing a capacitive kicking sensor arranged at the bottom of a trunk of the vehicle; in response to the foot of the user sensed by the capacitive kicking sensor, triggering a distance measurement module arranged at the bottom of the trunk of the vehicle to measure the distance from the foot of the user to the distance measurement module; comparing, by a data processing module, the distance between the foot of the user and the distance measurement module measured by the distance measurement module with a predetermined threshold; and in response to the fact that the measured distance is determined to be within the preset threshold value through the comparison, the data processing module controls opening of the tail door of the vehicle. According to the vehicle tail door control method and device, the distance measuring module is triggered to accurately measure the distance only when the feet of the user are sensed, it is ensured that opening of the vehicle tail door is more accurately controlled under the condition that power consumption is reduced, then user experience is improved, and safety risks are reduced.
