The invention provides an assembly type buttress retaining wall which comprises a wall face prefabricated slab, a first buttress and a second buttress are arranged on the two sides of the wall face prefabricated slab in the length direction of the wall face prefabricated slab respectively, the first buttress is connected with one side of the wall face prefabricated slab through a first stand column, and the second buttress is connected with the other side of the wall face prefabricated slab through a second stand column. The first buttress and the wall face prefabricated slab are both connected with the first stand column in a clamped mode, the second buttress and the wall face prefabricated slab are both connected with the second stand column in a clamped mode, the first stand column and the second stand column are each formed by splicing a plurality of stand column unit prefabricated blocks, and a first groove for being connected with the wall face prefabricated slab in a clamped mode is formed in one side of each stand column unit prefabricated block. The other side of the stand column unit prefabricated block is provided with a second groove connected with the buttress in a clamped mode, the first buttress and the second buttress are each provided with a vertical tenon connected with the second groove in a matched and clamped mode, and the bottom of the first buttress and the bottom of the second buttress are connected through a wall bottom prefabricated plate. The invention further provides an assembly method of the assembly type counterfort retaining wall.
