The invention discloses a stadium cantilever roof based on a triangular truss and a construction method thereof, the cantilever roof comprises a connecting truss, a sliding truss and a plurality of roof bodies, and the roof bodies are distributed in the length direction of the sliding truss; the adjacent roof bodies are fixedly connected; the connecting truss comprises a secondary connecting steel frame and a plurality of vertical supporting columns which are used for supporting the secondary connecting steel frame and are vertically arranged, and the vertical supporting columns are distributed in the length direction of the secondary connecting steel frame; the sliding truss comprises a main connecting steel frame, the main connecting steel frame is connected to the connecting truss, a sliding rail is arranged on the main connecting steel frame, the front end of the roof body is arranged on the sliding rail in a sliding mode, an inclined supporting steel frame is connected to the roof body in a threaded mode, and the tail end of the inclined supporting steel frame is connected to the vertical supporting column in a threaded mode. The stadium overhanging roof based on the triangular truss is novel in structure, all the roof bodies can directly slide into the sliding truss during assembly, positioning is more convenient and accurate, and meanwhile, the structure is higher in stability by arranging the oblique supporting steel frame.
