Silicate-emulsion primer and coating
An emulsion composition includes an acrylic polymer, a metal silicate, and water. Advantageously, the emulsion composition provides a coating having greater coating adhesion to concrete, clay, or ceramic substrates. In particular, the emulsion composition provides improved adhesion of a silicate primer to concrete, clay, or ceramic substrates as well as strong cohesion between the primer and topcoat coatings, making the overall performance better. A method for applying the emulsion composition is also provided.
