The invention discloses a high-strength light-weight acid-resistant castable and a preparation method thereof. The raw materials of the following formula components are utilized: 20-30% of calcined waste porcelain/waste brick with the particle size of 5-3mm, 15-20% of smelting aluminum ash with the particle size of 5-3mm, 10-15% of microporous corundum with the particle size of 5-3mm, 10-15% of microporous corundum with the particle size of 3-1mm, 10-15% of mullite lightweight aggregate with the particle size of 3-1mm, 10-15% of vermiculite powder with the particle size of 3-1mm, 5-10% of silica powder with the particle size of 3-1mm, 4-8% of alumina powder with the particle size of less than or equal to 5mm and 2-5% of ordinary portland cement. The castable is prepared from, by weight, 2-5% of explosion-proof fiber with the length of 5-10 mm and 0.5-1% of an additive, waste bricks, waste porcelain, smelting aluminum ash and the explosion-proof fiber are treated and processed, the cost input of raw material preparation or purchase is reduced, the density of the product is effectively reduced, and the strength of the castable is enhanced.
