The invention relates to a construction method for a large-span and large-size bent cap of a transition pier of a superposed beam cable-stayed bridge. The construction method comprises the following steps that firstly, chiseling is conducted on the top of a pier column; secondly, a support is installed; thirdly, a first bracket and a first embedded part are installed, and a second bracket and a second embedded part are installed; fourthly, the first distributive girder is installed; fifthly, the bailey beams are installed; sixthly, a second distribution beam, a third distribution beam and a bottom die are installed; seventhly, a bent cap steel reinforcement framework and a side mold are installed; eighthly, concrete is poured in a layered mode; and ninthly, the support is dismantled. The first bracket and the second bracket are arranged to support the whole support, the bailey beam is erected on the first bracket and the second bracket, so that the stability of the bailey beam is guaranteed, erecting of the whole support is not affected by the terrain, and good supporting performance can be achieved for construction of a large cover beam.
