The invention discloses a device for monitoring the height of cast-in-place concrete of a cast-in-place pile and a monitoring method of the device, and relates to the technical field of cast-in-place of the cast-in-place pile, the device comprises a supporting rod, a hanging rod, a locking piece, a lifting hook and a detection device; the supporting rod is supported at an opening of the cast-in-place pile; the hanging rod is connected with the supporting rod through the locking piece, and the bottom end of the hanging rod extends into the cast-in-place pile. The lifting hook is fixedly connected to the bottom end of the lifting rod; a sensor end of the detection device is arranged on the lifting rod, and the sensor end is positioned between the lifting hook and the supporting rod. The height of the cast-in-place concrete of the cast-in-place pile can be automatically monitored.
