The invention relates to a method for detecting a locking position of a movable part (110) of a vehicle (100), in particular of an automatically operable vehicle, comprising the following steps: receiving a first position signal from a first signal source as a first locking criterion by means of a control unit (20), the first locking criterion comprises at least one locking position of the lock (11) for the movable part (110); supplementing the received first position signal with a conditional verification command by means of the control unit (20), the conditional verification command comprising verifying at least one second position signal as a second locking criterion after identifying the first position signal, the first locking criterion being still satisfied; receiving, by the control unit (20), a second position signal as a second locking criterion from a second signal source, the second signal source being different from the first signal source, the second position signal being associable with the movable part; if the two locking criteria are met, a confirmation signal is output by the control unit (20).
