Spacer (1) for insulating glass, at least comprising a polymeric body (5) comprising at least two glass sheet contact surfaces (7.1, 7.2), a glass interior space surface (8), an outer surface (9) and a hollow chamber (10), wherein the polymer body (5) comprises a thermoplastic polymer as a base material in a proportion of 30.0 wt% to 70.0 wt%, a thermoplastic elastomer and/or a thermoplastic terpolymer having an elastomer component in a total of 0.5 wt% to 20.0 wt% as an elastomer additive, and a reinforcing agent in a proportion of 20.0 wt% to 45.0 wt%, the thermoplastic polymer as the base material comprises a styrene-based polymer and the polymer body (5) has a foamed pore structure.
